Reno-Sparks NAACP Corporate Support Programs

Dear Corporate Supporter

Over the past few years the Reno-Sparks NAACP Branch has:

  • Implemented Back to School Stay in School, a program that reduces student dropouts and increases academic achievement through six events during the year.
  • Provided over $35,000 for youth programs and scholarships with no administrative costs.
  • Conducted Business Development and Personal Financial Management workshops.
  • Registered over 12,000 new voters statewide in 2004, (2,000 in Northern Nevada,) as part of a NAACP-Nevada Election Empowerment program.
  • Received recognition as one of the top NAACP branches for our outstanding programs during two National NAACP Annual Conventions.
  • Participated on advisory committees to the Washoe County School District and local law enforcement agencies to provide insight on diversity issues.
  • Produced the public access television show NAACP Today on Sierra Nevada Community Access Television.
  • Continued to fight for equal opportunity in housing, employment, public accommodations and all aspects of life in our community.
  • The Reno-Sparks NAACP Branch continues to focus on important issues that impact our community. We can assist your organization through multicultural marketing and diversity outreach efforts. We value your support of our historic organization.
